find me
Syntax & Skin — my poetry series where language becomes a vessel for exploring the lived human experience
soon, you’ll
find yourself
in the depths
of my nothingness.
~
and only then,
be far
too gone
for retreat.
~
locate yearning
towards the arbitrary;
feel weights of questions
whisper without form.
~
halls of fugue
you may roam–
their mirrors
depersonalize.
~
these walls–
they shift without motive;
doorways hold no entrance
to all you’ve been searching for.
~
i hold no map
nor torch
in this murk,
resonant silence.
~
indifference–
it’s all i can bear
to consume till then.
~
venture for years,
longing to come across
some sacred breath
of meaning–
illusory escape
from this place.
~
find me, i beg–
before i suffocate.

The ending gave me chills! As someone who has struggled with depersonalization and depression this put in words the feelings I had fault during those episodes. Beautifully written ♡
