doubt
Syntax & Skin — my poetry series where language becomes a vessel for exploring the lived human experience
No child’s
too child
to discern
what is fair.
~
Yet, we justify
and humorize
to soften the glare.
~
Reality wrapped
in paper of “care”—
our violence disguised
as virtue laid bare.
~
The peace
we’ve proclaimed,
the grief that we spare.
~
No child’s
too child
to hold doubt
in their prayer
